Free2Spend Update Ideas
-allow multiple free2spends if you have multiple accounts (i also have a joint account with my partner)
-multiple goals (eg. house deposit, holiday) instead of just one (i have dreams dammit)
-provide a way of seeing your free2spend and goals in browser as well as the app
Hi Tim, thank you for your suggestion! I’ve passed it onto our team who designs our App features and internet banking. Feel free to let us know any other ideas you have for us! ^Catherine
Really enjoying the user interface of free2spend and the opportunities for streamlined financial management it makes.
It would be great if the app allowed you to nominate sub-budgets within an income, and categorise debits post-spend into these budgets.
Example: A Ubank account receives $1000 a month. The user wants to aim to spend $500 of the budget on food a month, $300 on fuel and $200 on miscellaneous purchases.
A budget of $1000 is set per month in free2spend. The user can set sub-budgets within their $1000 income for the 3 items above. As debits occur, the user can categorise these debits after the purchase is made on the app to see how they're tracking against their spending goals.
If Ubank did this, they would be left with a dynamic, innovative app that would act as a real market differentiator. It would amplify positive customer experiences, and create a unique selling point for potential customers who may be considering signing up (a lot of people who read the barefoot investor in 2021 would be considering whether to sign up for Ubank or Me bank for example).
Free2spend on second account
Have a savings section that doesnt coont as overspeanding
I dont understand this feature at all. It doesnt help me at app
It would be great to tag scheduled payments as bills for those of us who use more than one bank account.
Can you add 'Hobbies' to the expense category please.
I would like to select source of income (from my transactions) just like the outgoing cost (bills etc.). If I transfer $1000 from my savings to USpend and then use that to pay off a loan elsewhere, Free2Spend thinks I'm overspending $1000 of that months budget while in reality I've spent money from my savings and I'm still on track. Marking that $1000 from savings as income, or some other type of solution for this, would be great. I'm not using Free2Spend currently because of this, its too rigid
Free2Spend insights would be more helpful if you could see more than one month back, and also compare your spending to monthly averages over the last 12 months rather than just the previous month.
The app takes so long to open and load in free2spend, and then once loaded if you go do something there (like tag bills or check transactions) it takes another age to load back. Its inability to remeber the page it was just on (even when you havmt actually made a change when you went to bills) is such poor UX that it reduces any incentive to use this feature. Its sometimes so slow that my phone turns the screen of while im waiting for it to load!
While the overall app is slow this bit is painful!
Also can we get the phones spellcheck to work please? Im confused why its been disabled?
Free to spend
Remove or choose to not include certain transactions in Free2Spend. For example if I pay for something for a friend $300 and they transfer me back the whole amount I dont want this effecti ng my saving plan. Even if you mark the deposit as income it diffuses it throughout the whole fortnight instead of just resetting the transaction for that day. Would be a really helpful feature!
I would really love this also
It would be great if there was an option to edit and choose your own daily budget amount for people who might not have regular salaries but still want to track their daily spending.
I cant really use it. Its so busy and hard to customise. Its a good idea but need a full rethink. It seems like new pieces have been just added to it without a cohesive strategy
Clothing category in free2spend
Free2Spend is great, but it would be cool to see previous months transactions in the same format as well.
Currently you can only view the current month of spending and an amount for the previous month for comparison. I would like to be able to navigate to previous months and see the same level of detail as the current month.
Free2Spend works well with bills where you can set a rough idea needed and you can see how close you are. It doesn't seem you can do the same for income which would be handy for those with variable incomes. (I know roughly how much i will earn and it would be good to budget against that. At the moment my daily budget is calculated based on ACTUAL income which is often 0 until my full fortnightly income comes in, which it does in dribs and drabs.)
Delete free to spend so all my savings can be put to my goal
Edit catagories 'spending' is allocated to so it is personalised. Be able to add new catagories or rename catagories that dont apply or that relate to the account holder's household living style.
